1. Welcome and Introduction from CTO, Lindsey Parker
It’s time for DC to define, or re-define, its Smart City mission. One that has shown the natural maturity of the initiative and sets us up for successes in the future.
We must begin addressing equity and accessibility challenges facing DC communities.
We must identify the problems first, then explore the technology available to help, rather than the other way around.
2. A renewed Smarter DC
Where we are: a city that is becoming increasingly efficient in solving real problems for real people by:
Vision: engaging stakeholders and users, setting
Culture: leading collaboratively, and inclusively
Process: This is now. We are working to refine our coordination and add weight to our group with a structured governance and metrics we can show value with
Technology and Data: Let’s not forget what got us here: the desire to use data and integrated technologies in meaningful ways that enhances the quality of life for DC residents.
When we convene as full group we want to have deeper and more robust conversations. Maximize our partnerships and relationships empowered by transparency, and a strong governance of networked teams.
